    I didn’t have this experience, but maybe that’s because I was too obviously not going to fall for it no matter what.

    Also the local Geek Squad manager is president of my college anime club, so he knew me already.Report

      I dealt with the Geek Squad twice and the experiences were fine, but because I know enough to be dangerous, I could understand what they were doing and was able to provide them with specific guidance.

      The 200% increase in processor speed amused me greatly. The only time I ever recall seeing that kind of overclocking was when Tom’s Hardware, some years back, overclocked a Pentium 4 processor from 2.4 Ghz to 5.0 Ghz. For cooling, it required liquid nitrogen.Report

      Hmmm…

      I heard policymakers are working on this and are using the SEC’s ability to prevent securities fraud and ponzi schemes as its basis.Report
