According to a faithful reader, I'm Ordinary Times's "least thoughtful writer." So I've got that going for me, which is nice.

I’d never heard that version. I really like it though, and the post too. I find it difficult to describe a sound, and sometimes I can’t find the words for why I like a particular song at all…I just do. I really like Nina Simone’s version of Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfesHDG9i78 It is vastly superior to Dylan’s (I know it’s his song and I like the guy, but still, this has far more soul). I can also think of a version of Sting’s Fields of Gold done by a woman whose voice breaks my heart, Eva Cassidy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGwDYBWEDScReport
