The problem with work spouses who are also like family who are also extroverts who are also from out-of-town is that when they come visit for a week to do work, you end up working extra hours all week and then going out every night.
As such, we have simultaneously had a wonderful slew of weekend-like social encounters AND a really long work week for both of us. (Jay because it’s his work spouse that’s in town. Me just because I was waiting for the guys to pick me up every night, and why not do some work since I’m at work anyway…)
I’m pretty tuckered. I foresee a lot of napping once Jay’s work spouse leaves.
Tuckeredness aside, we have a fairly busy weekend planned: bbq at the house of Jay’s *other* work spouse (he sure has a lot of them…) and family on Friday night, gaming on Saturday night, and some running around going “OMG BEFORE JAY GOES TO QATAR WE HAVE SO MUCH STUFF TO GET DONE!!!!” all day Sunday.
So… what’s on your docket?
