Wednesday!

tears for fears – break it down again

I admit, I thought that the lyrics were:

So those are my dreams
And these are my eyes
Stand tall like a man
Get thrown like a horse

And I liked those lyrics a lot more.

But this is one of those songs that has been stuck in my head non-stop for the last month for some reason. Probably because I didn’t understand the lyrics and now that I know the real ones I’ll finally get this one out of my system.

One of the things that strikes me most about this song (which I also loved at the time) was the somewhat cruddy timing. If Grunge hadn’t happened when it did… ah, woulda coulda shoulda. Elemental was a great album that was well-received and did fairly well on the charts, all things considered.

But, man… it could have been freakin’ huge.

So… what are you listening to?

    • I’ve told Maribou that I would like this game for my upcoming birthday and it looks like it’s going to happen.

I absolutely *ADORED* the first one… until that first boss fight.

I talked to brother Ethan Gatch the other day and asked about whether they fixed the boss fights. He said:

@OG_Jaybird good news: they did. Bad news (potentially): mostly by taking them out— Ethan Gatch (@ethangach) August 23, 2016

      So fingers are crossed.

    The Present

I do not despise your weakness, My child. Actually, it draws Me closer to you, because weakness stirs up My compassion — My yearning to help. Accept yourself in your weariness, knowing that I understand how difficult your journey has been.

Do not compare yourself with others, who seem to skip along their life-paths with ease. Their journeys have been different from yours, and I have gifted them with abundant energy. I have gifted you with fragility, providing opportunities for your spirit to blossom in My Presence. Accept this gift as a sacred treasure: delicate, yet glowing with brilliant Light. Rather than struggling to disguise or deny your weakness, allow Me to bless you richly through it.
