I loved the Lo-Los. If I have a complaint, it’s that they rely a hair too much on quick reflexes in addition to the puzzle parts of the game but, at the time, the target audience was not in their 40’s so I guess I have to forgive that.

They should bring those back. Turn based.Report

My oldest and I used to play it when he was small. A few years ago, we realized it was available for download on his newfangled Nintendo thing and enjoyed it all over again.

You can also download it together with a Nintendo emulator and play it on PCs (not sure about Macs), but the screens JB mentions that require tricky moves become next to impossible.Report

I assume you realize this, but it’s not clear from your post: The ability to pull isn’t a nice-to-have feature that got cut to save development time; its absence is a key element of many of the puzzles. While an undo button would have been convenient, allowing players to pull blocks and eggs would trivialize some puzzles, or at least make them easier than intended.Report

I did realize that, but now that you mention it, the use of an undo button would have been a fantastic addition. I think it was just aggravating to accidently run into a block and moving it and then having to start over the level again and again. It made it me feel like I was walking on eggshells a bit. I think there could have been perhaps some puzzles done with pull blocks as well, or even a mixture. Maybe adding a button you had to press in order to push something would have made for less mistakes as well.Report
