Saturday!

There are a handful of games that I bought, started, played, and then were so jerky that I couldn’t play them anymore (or, almost worse, I could only play them at the lowest setting).

Doom, The Witcher 2, X-Com… heck, I didn’t even *TRY* to buy X-Com 2. Even the Telltale Games Batman had some jerky stuff going on and I had to put it down.

Well, the new video card works.

So I’ve been playing Telltale Games Batman. Finally.

It’s an “early days of Batman” story (one of the best Batman settings) and the voice actors aren’t the ones from the cartoon and, as such, it’s a little disorienting. I mean, if you played a scene for me from the cartoon, I’d be able to tell you “Oh, that’s Batman, but he’s pretending to be Bruce Wayne right now… he’s talking to Commissioner Gordon… and Alfred is there. Oooh, quick cut to Joker’s hideout where Joker is being a jerk to Harley.”

Or whatever. Those voices *ARE* the voices of the characters I hear in my head.

So playing the game, I see the characters, I watch them do their thing… but the voices are the voices of other people entirely.

But that’s on me, that’s not on the game.

The important thing is that it works.
