From 1930 to now, Easter bunnies through the years are seriously creepy

Bunnies are adorable with their soft fluffy fur and wiggly noses, but humans in bunny suits for Easter? Not so much.
For decades the bunny has been the giver of candy and goodies during Easter egg hunts, but no matter how hard we try to make them look cute, bunny replications and costumes turn out horribly wrong and mostly, quite creepy.

  1. The one from 1951 is a Bugs Bunny headpiece.

    I don’t think it counts to include things from comedy shows which are going to exaggerate for effect.

  2. Man, the screaming-scared-kid-with-costumed-character image never gets old.

    Also, I wonder if future historians will comment on how bizarre it is to have photographs of the US presidents with a giant cartoon rabbit?

    (I also wonder what they backstory on the “Harajuku bunnies” one is….)
