A while ago Shadowrun: Dragonfall came up on Steam for 80% off its already entirely reasonable price. This had an unfortunate effect on my sleep habits for the next couple of weeks. I just finished the game the other day. Maybe I’ll play some of the downloadable scenarios in a bit.Report

They claim to have remade the SNES Shadowrun in a module.

I have downloaded it but not played it.
      I can’t bring myself to.Report

Dragonfall was fantastic. Hong Kong was almost as good.

I got to the point of recommending people play the original Shadowrun Returns FIRST, because after they try Dragonfall they won’t be able to play that one. It’s the same engine, but the upgrade to the story (and the creation of your own team, instead of a solo game with hired runners) and such just make the first one feel clunky.Report

Supergiant Games (the studio who did Bastion and Transistor) have released a new game.

I enjoyed Transitor and I liked Bastion enough that I wrote a whole post on it, so I guess I know what I’ll be playing once I’ve finished the Witcher 3.Report

I finished up Fallout 4 finally, and booked up Wolfenstein the New Order. It’s good, but it reminds me, just like Doom, of the multiplatform annoyances. I want to change my key binding. Shesh!Report

I have been playing a bit of Human Resources Machine. I am not a programmer, but I enjoy it a lot. I played quite a bit of Manufactoria back in the day. Up until the last 2 or 3 puzzles, I got everything optimized for size. I have not yet put effort into redoing the puzzles for speed. I also need to go back and do the side paths.

I also started the Telltale Game of Thrones game, but I cannot say I am impressed with the control scheme. I think I prefer playing on a tablet with touch controls.Report

    • I hit a brick wall when I wrote a program that worked well but I made a mistake somewhere because my program only worked because of the way the numbers were in the hopper.

So I started over from scratch and wrote a similar program. This was around, oh, level 16, I guess?

I still love that game, but, dang.Report
