What I did this weekend: the flu. I’m still doing it, a little. From Thursday to Tuesday, I also binge-watched Shadowhunters on Hulu, which is an experience very similar to the flu. It’s like all the writers and actors were in the same state of weakness and disorientation that I was.Report

Tod, I love this – really looking forward to watching all the videos when I get home tonight. (Both the ones I already dig like Tank & the Bangas, and the ones I’ve never heard of before!)Report

Charles Bradley is the t*ts! I’ve seen him live three times, including once at The Apollo and once the night after his mother died. The emotion and the energy of his performances is amazing. Like you said, he is old. And he’s still dancing around and dropping to the floor. Really great stuff.

And the guys who back him, The Menahan Street Band are awesome in their own right. They’re from Dap Tone Records, so the same pool of musicians that backed Sharon Jones and played on Amy Winehouse’s album.Report
