Say Good-bye to your local Farmer’s Market

This reminds me of the ridiculous measures taken after the lead scare.  Not good news, to be sure.  Funny how we got along just fine without any of these massive outbreaks of food-contamination until Big Agriculture made distribution of crops so widespread.

Apparently there is some confusion about what this Bill does and does not do that is cleared up a touch on this site that Cole updates to.

I agree completely that it seems that this bill’s initial blog reaction was strongly in the camp of overreaction, however, I do still have my concerns that the eventual effect will be to continue to make it more difficult for small farmers. I am far more concerned about mandatory animal tagging than I am about HR 875 at this point.
