Pomocon returns

by Freddie on April 16, 2009

Ordinarily, this would probably be the sort of thing that would go up in a minipost. But clearly James Poulos and his band require pride of place here at the League of Ordinary Gentlemen. Pomocon is back. So I hope you’ll all join me in welcoming James and the gang back and updating your RSS feeds, to boot….

Freddie, maybe you can help me out. What is your political viewpoint generally speaking? The description of this site says contributors are from various points along the political spectrum, but from what I can see that runs from libertarianism to the New-Conservatism (Christian Isolationism, essentially). You’re the exception, as far as I have been able to tell. My impression is that you’re the token liberal here, and you get knocked around some for the trouble. Care to disabuse me of that?

(Of course this type of inquiry could be obviated by a simple statement somewhere from each contributor explaining their overall worldview/politics to support the claim of representation of the whole political spectrum…)

Unless we’re boxing. Have we started a boxing match at the League yet? We need to get on that…

I’m probably best described as a leftist, Michael, although I prefer the liberal term. I read almost exclusively conservative blogs but that’s just because of my pugnacious temperament. As for my getting drubbed, well, I don’t really think of myself as much of a shrinking violet– but I could be wrong….

So is this site an exception to your usual blog-reading tendency, or in keeping with it?
