Speaking of the DHS memo redux…

Michael Savage has filed a lawsuit against the government claiming that the memo has a chilling effect on free speech (H/T: Dispatches from the Culture Wars).   Regardless of one’s opinion of the content of the memo (I agree with Mark), Savage’s claims are ridiculous at best and given that there is absolutely no case or controversy, he has no legal standing to bring a case.  Dismissed.

I am amused to see the Thomas More Law Center get involved in this.   I would have thought that after getting its head handed to it in the Dover, PA intelligent design case,  it would have have tempered its enthusiasm towards taking on  lost causes.  I guess I was wrong.
