Notice, of course, his distinct unwillingness to mention universal coverage. For movement conservatives, it’s explicitly not even a goal.

Well, between the conversion of Medicare and Medicaid and the tax credits, you’re essentially doing the same thing as creating universal coverage, the only difference being that those who can afford their health care but choose not to have insurance aren’t forced into the system. Believe it or not, it looks like he’s essentially saying that the GOP should back Wyden-Bennett.
