Thursday Morning Jukebox

by E.D. Kain on July 23, 2009

I know, it breaks from the Friday Night mold a bit, but I am feeling particularly musical this morning, and not terribly political, and beyond that this leaves room for someone else to post a Friday nighter tomorrow.

After this first one by the Avett Brothers there’s some Langhorne Slim, some Old Crow Medicine Show, Blind Melon, and some more Avett Brothers. This first one, Murder in the City, is beautiful. Enjoy.

The Avett Brothers – Murder in the City

Langhorne Slim – Restless

Old Crow Medicine Show – Wagon Wheel

The Avett Brothers – If it’s the Beaches

Blind Melon – Skinned

Thanks for repping Blind Melon. I was 13 when the first album came out and it hit me like a nuclear bomb. Changed my life like none other. “Soup” and “Nico” are pretty damn good too.

Love “Murder in the City,” one of the Avett Bros best songs.
