Uh oh. Hadn’t seen this before, but Lawrence O’Donnell just shoots down reconciliation as the way to get health care reform through. Apparently rules state that 51 votes is sufficient only in final passage–there are multiple steps along the way in which you need 60 to allow the process to continue.
