Borat, Art, and the Eye of the Beholder
Borat: “I do a picture, only small, of the Tishnik Masacre. Where many Uzbeks…crushed!”
Kindly Gray Hippie: “How did you feel when you drew this?”
Borat: “Very proud!”.
KGH: “I’m just listening with sadness…a little sadness for your people…?”
Borat: “Yes…no, it is not sad. It is us who do the kill!”
When in doubt, consult the classics [5:30 mark].

Over on the Mindless Diversions site...
Our intrepid commenter A Teacher tells the story of how he published his NaNoWriMo book (and, of course, tells us how we can get a copy of it for ourselves). ( 1 comments)
Nobel Peace Prize Jury Faces Formal Inquiry
Read the story here. Here’s the paragraph that would make clicking through worthwhile, if you’re still undecided:
If the Stockholm County Administrative Board, which supervises foundations in Sweden’s capital, finds that prize founder Alfred Nobel’s will is not being honored, it has the authority to suspend award decisions going back three years — though that would be unlikely and unprecedented, said Mikael Wiman, a legal expert working for the county. Disintegration was a great album, wasn’t it?
Was? It still is! Though I actually prefer Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me.
Man, MegaCon just won’t be the same next year. (Though I’m probably not going this time anyway..uh.)
I find it difficult to be objective about cigarettes being as my Grandmother died of lung cancer from second hand smoke and my Grandfather (the source of said smoke and oh too keenly aware of it) spent two years in pure mental hell before death took him.
That said, I was only ever lukewarm about bans in bars and private places. Bans in open air environments is over the top and god knows I’ll invegle against bans on private individual use with great venom.
On the second item I can only shake my head. Oh the English. The mind blowing idiocy of far left regulaphillia.
Of course the ironic thing is that they didn’t ban menthol, which is like 70% of the cigarettes that black folks smoke.
I’m just glad i still have my mint-flavored dip.
Of course not. Phillip Morris make menthols. Cloves are imported from Indonesia. It’s protectionism.
