1 rob November 23, 2009 at 10:00 am: True. Though Bruce did his best to ruin it, Salt Lake (!) were really a lot of fun to watch (in both this game and against Columbus; I skipped the Chicago game). Salt Lake (in style of play) kind of remind me of the better Bundesliga teams (Schalke, Hamburg, even Mönchengladbach), with quick, technical build-up play through a midfield that’s very comfortable on the ball. Also fun to note that LA has the most expensive roster in MLS and Salt Lake the least.

Nobel Peace Prize Jury Faces Formal Inquiry

A Little Side Project of Mine
As if I needed another blog! This one’s dedicated to translating some of the never-before-translated work of the French neo-Romantic poet Edmond Rostand, author of Cyrano de Bergerac and member of the Académie française. Everyone knows Cyrano, of course, but much of Rostand’s lyric work has never been read in English before. I’m trying to change that, one poem at a time. ( 7 comments)
