Borat, Art, and the Eye of the Beholder
Borat: “I do a picture, only small, of the Tishnik Masacre. Where many Uzbeks…crushed!”
Kindly Gray Hippie: “How did you feel when you drew this?”
Borat: “Very proud!”.
KGH: “I am just listening with sadness…sadness for your people…?”
Borat: “Yes…no, it is not sad. It is us who do the kill!”

Over on the Mindless Diversions site...
Our intrepid commenter A Teacher tells the story of how he published his NaNoWriMo book (and, of course, tells us how we can get a copy of it for ourselves). ( 0 comments)
Nobel Peace Prize Jury Faces Formal Inquiry
Read the story here. Here’s the paragraph that would make clicking through worthwhile, if you’re still undecided:
If the Stockholm County Administrative Board, which supervises foundations in Sweden’s capital, finds that prize founder Alfred Nobel’s will is not being honored, it has the authority to suspend award decisions going back three years — though that would be unlikely and unprecedented, said Mikael Wiman, a legal expert working for the county. You definitely win the crazy cake with that one. Yikes, that would be a nightmare.
Note: I’m envisioning Beck/Palin running against Cheney in this scenario. I’d buy shares in popcorn if that were to happen.
Honestly I’d sort of like to see Cheney run. Just so he can be roundly rejected and humiliated.
I think Dick is smarter than that. Hence his “not a chance” comment.
well if you think he is that smart then you just don’t know Dick.
While we’re speculating, man, wouldn’t Tom Wolfe/ Professor Irwin Corey be a wild ticket?
Beakman/Bill Nye.
We’d finally have ubiquitous nuclear power.
I’d like to see a Clark Kent/Bruce Wayne ticket to be honest with you.
Run them against a hypothetical Steve Rogers/Tony Stark ticket…
i’d prefer a Picard/ Riker ticket myself.
But Picard is French!
he’s a Federation citizen and apparently all us liberals types want a one world government.
And was Clark Kent ever naturalized? He’s not even from this planet and the Holy Founder’s never said people from other planets could become citizens.
As far as government records show, Clark Kent is the natural son of Johnathan and Martha Kent. Let’s forget about all this Kal-El stuff for now…
Wasn’t Clark Kent from Kenya?
Ahhh haaa, so you are fine with falsifying government records. The next thing you know Venusians will be sneaking into the US just to have anchor babies.
Intelligent, articulate, experienced…if he were in good health, he’d be a formidable candidate.
