Nobel Peace Prize Jury Faces Formal Inquiry
Read the story here. Here’s the paragraph that would make clicking through worthwhile, if you’re still undecided:
If the Stockholm County Administrative Board, which supervises foundations in Sweden’s capital, finds that prize founder Alfred Nobel’s will is not being honored, it has the authority to suspend award decisions going back three years — though that would be unlikely and unprecedented, said Mikael Wiman, a legal expert working for the county. A Little Side Project of Mine
As if I needed another blog! This one’s dedicated to translating some of the never-before-translated work of the French neo-Romantic poet Edmond Rostand, author of Cyrano de Bergerac and member of the Académie française.
Everyone knows Cyrano, of course, but much of Rostand’s lyric work has never been read in English before. I’m trying to change that, one poem at a time. ( 7 comments)

Funny, I always thought that robbing ( I mean taxing) the rich was the left’s modus operandi?
Isn’t Robin Hood about stealing from the rich to give to the poor? I Haven’t watched the movie in years but that seems pretty left wing
They’re taking back what was unjustly stolen by the capitalist-statist corpocracy. Totally conservative in my book.
If they want to live without rule of law, they should move to Somalia.
But couldn’t one argue that it’s Prince John and his baronial cohorts who are rejecting the rule of law?
The only thing that matters is the war on banditry.
Scott and Neil -
Read the post. If that doesn’t do it, re-watch the movie. The parallels are pretty funny.
