The Right’s HuffPo?

by Scott H. Payne on January 7, 2010

Tucker Carlson claims to be launching it. I find myself torn between the fact that he was slated to hire the inimitable Helen Rittelmeyer as a reporter and that the venture’s partner is a former Cheney aide. I suppose that time, as they say, will tell.

One thing about Huffpo that is oft overlooked is the amount of celebrity crap (and associated hooters) readily available. If Tucker wants to really get the kidz a-clickin’, he needs some Britney/Miley/Beyonce’ links next to his discussions of Health Care Policy.

Does that work for or against the former Cheney aide’s involvement?

I’d need to see a picture.

I bet you would…

Anyone that visits Huffington Post would need to be blind to miss the “crap” and hooters posted there. But I have faith that TC can equal/surpass the low standards set by HP. After all HP seems to omit the A of T and A.

You know that Helen didn’t end up taking a job with the Caller, though, don’t you? I had drinks with her earlier this week, and she was about to move to New York to work for a different publication (I’m not sure whether I’m allowed to say which one).

John, I was aware, that was in the piece to which I linked. That was why I used the past tense and the term “slated”, but thanks much.

Ah, I must have skimmed past that part. I was just taken aback to see her name-checked as a credit to the Daily Caller a few days after saying “goodbye, good luck at National Review!”

I read Helen is starting to work for the National Review.
