“Makes No Sense at All” by Husker Du
I’ve only recently gotten into Husker Du, and now that I have, I’m wondering what took me so damn long.

Over on the Mindless Diversions site...
Our intrepid commenter A Teacher tells the story of how he published his NaNoWriMo book (and, of course, tells us how we can get a copy of it for ourselves). ( 0 comments)
Nobel Peace Prize Jury Faces Formal Inquiry
Read the story here. Here’s the paragraph that would make clicking through worthwhile, if you’re still undecided:
If the Stockholm County Administrative Board, which supervises foundations in Sweden’s capital, finds that prize founder Alfred Nobel’s will is not being honored, it has the authority to suspend award decisions going back three years — though that would be unlikely and unprecedented, said Mikael Wiman, a legal expert working for the county. A Little Side Project of Mine
As if I needed another blog! This one’s dedicated to translating some of the never-before-translated work of the French neo-Romantic poet Edmond Rostand, author of Cyrano de Bergerac and member of the Académie française.
Everyone knows Cyrano, of course, but much of Rostand’s lyric work has never been read in English before. I’m trying to change that, one poem at a time. ( 7 comments)

Same here! Just bought this album a few months ago actually. And I’ve been into other bands from that era forever (like since elementary school).
immensely cool J.
Husker Du was a great band.
Joe- That era???? That era??? wait a darn minute, that was when i was in college, that can’ t that long ago to be another era.
Yeah, uh, it’s 2010. I know, we’re babies.
2010!!!???…you’ve got to be kiddi……..oh wait i remember that.
I’m still kicking myself for not submitting the Husker Du cover of “8 Miles High” by The Birds to the recent “Best Cover Ever” thread here. While you’re touring mid-80s “alternative when alternative meant something” rock take listen to the Minutemen.
Dang, you just posted what I was about to post.
