This is one of those things that never makes any sense to me at all.

It strikes me as exactly as useful, insightful, and intrusive as caring about what other people eat for lunch. “They had olives on their sandwich???”

I suppose I can understand not liking olives and, I suppose, even being irritated that someone else likes olives. This, however, seems like saying “well, we can’t make eating olives illegal… so we’ll just make “ENJOYING” olives illegal and people who like olives will go somewhere else to enjoy them or, better yet, they won’t be able to enjoy olives here (even if they eat them).”

And in caring so much about a matter of other people’s taste to the point where they’re demonstrated the ability to intrude *THIS MUCH* (and surely would be willing to intrude *THAT MUCH MORE*), they’ve turned a disagreement over a matter of taste into an immoral act.

This is one of those things that never makes any sense to me at all.

You know, I rarely, if ever, read any of my comments that I post here but with the link you provided, I couldn’t resist. One can only cringe so much. I wish I knew why my brain is constantly multi-directional and uncentered and almost incapable of being focused. No wonder I am a member of that dubious quartet of bannees.
